Jeep Tour to The Assy plateau and Bartogay Reservoir
Tour description
The current route is one of the most beautiful in the Almaty region. In one day, we will see beautiful places. We will visit the Bear Waterfall, drive to the famous observatory on the Assy plateau, popularly called “Chupa-Chups” because of its whimsical shape. From the plateau, there is a stunning 360-degree view. We will see high snow-capped peaks on the horizon, wide and blooming alpine meadows. On the way to the Bartogay reservoir, we will drive through high-mountain plateaus, see the life of nomads in yurts, herds of cows, horses, and other animals grazing.
1st day. Turgen waterfall and Asy plateau
8:00-10:00 | Almaty to Turgen Gorge. |
10:00-12:30 | Hike to the Bear Waterfall (30 minutes), rest, photos. |
12:30-13:30 | Transfer to the observatory on the Assy plateau. |
13:30-14:30 | Lunch (lunchbox) |
14:30-18:30 | Transfer to the Bartogai Reservoir, with stops at the most beautiful spots for photos and videos along the way. |
18:30 | Bartogai Reservoir. Relaxation and photos. |
19:00 | Transfer to the campsite (camping) |
20:00 | Dinner, overnight stay. |
2nd day. Rafting base
8:00 | Wake up |
9:00 | Breakfast |
10:00 | Rafting is available at an additional cost for those who wish. |
13:00 | Returning to the city |
15:00 | Arrival in Almaty |
